Truly loved this beautiful story. Amazing narration and images captured. All the frames are very well articulated. Especially loved one with the cub looking at the mother asking for what next, gorgeous Queen Magge sitting atop and of course the one of a cub leaping across the trench. Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks a lot, Amit.

Nature and wild has a special appeal and impact on all of us if we allow ourselves to observe, absorb and learn , most times so engaged are we with ourselves (sort of selfish) that we miss all the indicators and messages

You caught all these right

You are a true nature lover

Thanks

Man has traveled to space n moon and he may even live in Mars in future but if there is one thing he can’t experience is the joy of motherhood. The only way is to get a visa back to earth as woman in his rebirth. Human or Animal motherhood is a special experience and moment and that too becoming a first time mother is beyond worlds and words. Magge looks stunning and graceful in those pictures. Her cubs are gorgeous and probably they might be the ones who can challenge Magge’s grace. Well is the cub looking up and asking for the mother’s consent or telling her that I am on my own? It’s the language between mother and her child, no one can interpret. We all have this experience at home. After the blockbuster saya blog this one came out soothing n emotional.

I had rather been reluctant about this post What could possibly be of interest about a young first time mother tigress, I wondered! But, then I was wrong, and I am so happy to be wrong! The line by line narration, well supported by the so timely clicks, I am ready to buy the sequel to the Jungle Book, whenever you choose to pen it!

Thanks, as they say do not go on a title , it can be misleading

So happy for the queen Magge and her two princes. Motherhood is a beautiful phase and the pictures told a lovely story, of how she is enjoying her solitary parenting.

Apparently the stripe pattern is inherited in polygeneic way, not just a single gene is responsible for the pattern. Even siblings don't have exact same pattern due to difference in expression of multiple genes. But yes, the two cubs do resemble their ferocious and charming mother.

For Magge, " mere Karan Arjun mere paas hain" and for the two royal cubs " mere paas Maa hain"

Yes for all mothers (you included) the Karan 0 Arjun s are a great source of joy & pride as also for Magge

Now , still not sure whether it s a case of Seeta aur Geeta or Karan & Arjuin

Just back from Kabini again and bumped into Magge , but her area where her cubs are active is completely out of reach for tourists now as the Forest officer has banned that part of the forest for entry, rightly too , and hence the fortune to have witnessed such young cubs has multiplied even more for us

Thanks a lot, Sujata

The lil cubs are cute and adorable . Mother's presence gives them sense of security and confidence thus they are carefree and playful . Hard to believe that such cute and adorable cubs would turn into ruthless predators one day. Posing side by side, it looks like its mother's replica.. Magge's transformation over the years captured beautifully ,visually and verbally...beautiful pictures and sighting !

Thsnk you, Sachin. An out of world experience. As such young cubs are hard to be sighted for so long. Absolutely divine. The cub of course a chip of the old block . Same mannerisms, same spirit & boldness. Magge is the first tigress i witnessing transform right in front of my eyes. I can relate now to perennial wildlifers whp are engrossed with individual tigers for so long. Hope u shared the blog ahead

Motherhood - Every where it is evidenced and they proved that they are so responsible. Doesn't mater which animal. You are written very well.

I just thought Kabini is a spot for two days trip. Your kabini blogs have all things, the entire life., Joy, love, family and sadness.

Thank you so much, Charles . I understand all emotions but "sad" , why ? If it is bcoz of predator killing a prey , then thats a cycle of life. At the end the predator has to survive & live too, isn't it ?

Be it in the comforts of our homes, or the wild Kabini... Mothers are always fighters, one way or the other.
